19 Ways to Predict the Future

From the beginning of human race, man always wanted to know what his future holds for him. His urge to know his future lead him on the quest of precognition or future sight. However, there are no scientific procedures available for this purpose. People have to depend on traditional ways to predict the future. These traditional methods include:

1. Cosmology

5000 years ago Egyptian people predict the variations in river Nile with help of stars. These were the ancient predictions in field of cosmology or study of stars. According to them stars and their movements are related to fate. This concept was later on supported by Big Bang theory by Einstein. As according to Big Bang Theory the universe has came into existence as result of a big collision in time zero. After this collision the universe is expanding. At one time this expansion would reach to a maximum point and then it will start contacting. As result of all these changes in energy there would be another Big Bang and universe will start again. On the basis of this theory another theory of Big Crunch has been formulated by cosmologist. According to them everything in future is replica of same event, which either took place in past or present. This is the theory which enables them to predict the future with help of stars.

2. Chiromancy

Chiromancy or palmistry is also called chorology. This art is about predicting the personality and future of person with help of his hands. This is the most widely used method to predict future. Chiromancy basically belongs to India. Then with passage of time it is widely accepted by Tibet, China, and Egypt and now all over the world.
In the field of Palmistry hand of the person is considered as book of his life. This is the reason why, analysis of hand is called as "reading". The predictions in chiromancy are made with the help of hand structure, lines, mounts on palm etc. Lines on hand are referred as heart line, life line, brain line etc. Similarly structure of hand like shape of fingers, nails, prints on fingers also contributes to reading made by palmist. Palmistry has strong influence all over the world.

3. Michel de Nostradamus

Michel de Nostradamus was also known as Nostradamus. He was famous physician and astrologer born in France. He also knew number of languages like Hebrew, Greek and Latin. His studies reveled number of predictions and many of prediction came true with passage of time. In his studies he had predicted the events like Atomic Bomb, World War II, landing on moon and also incident of 9/11. He has predicted all this in 16th century.
Nobody has known for sure that how his predictions worked but there are many speculations present in this context. However, according to Nostradamus his predictions are made with the help of astrology.

4. Foreseeing Ability of Animals

Animals are known to predict future from centuries. It has been noticed that in time of dangers like earthquake, storms, volcanic eruption, animals behave differently. Different animals respond to these disasters differently. Like rats and snakes leave their places, catfish start panicking, birds fly from one place to another or create panic if in cage, dogs start barking and howling etc. There are number of theories present to explain the logic for this trait. Like, according to one theory animals can sense earth vibrations which cannot be detected by human. One theory says that animals can hear infrasound which helps them to predict the disaster.

Precognitive dreaming or predicting future with help of dreams is known phenomenon from the time of Joseph. It has been proved in Egyptian history that precognitive dreaming can be accurate. This ability is an unconscious activity of human mind.
The accuracy of prediction depends upon how clearly you have remembered your dream and how well they are interpreted. Dreams can relate to present event and future predictions.

Tarot Readings are based on the analysis made with the help of card known as tarot cards. These cards are believed to behold the information about past and future of a person. Time travel is one phenomenon which is not exactly traditional way to see future. However, this is popular theory to know the past and future. The idea of time travel was initiated in 700 B.C. The idea is based upon moving from one point in time space to other. The movement can be in backward direction or forward direction from present time. At this point this is fiction, as to do so the body needs to move with speed of light. However, people are working to invent time machines so that they can see their past as well as future.
Whatever way people choose to predict their future, future will always be susceptible. As no body can predict the future for sure.

In my opinion Indian Astrology seems to give you fairly accurate predictions than the other methods of predicting the future. It is believed that Vedic Astrologers who lived thousands of years ago in India were able to give perfect predictions. Today, even the best Astrologers can't give 100% accurate predictions. Yet, it helps to some extent to predict your future and to plan your career and life. Today's Astrologers fail often miserably, but that does not mean that the Astrology fails. Indian Astrology predicts your future studying the planetary positions at the time of your birth. Indian Vedic Astrology is truly very powerful and effective.

12. Western Astrology

This is based on the moving zodiac and is different from Indian Astrology. Indian Astrology gives importance to the exact time of birth to cast horoscopes and predict future. Indian Astrology gives importance to Moon and Western astrology gives importance to Sun.

13. Chinese Astrology

This is completely different from Indian Astrology. Chinese Astrology predicts future by studying the planetary positions of Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Mercury and Mars. It also studies the positions of Sun, Moon and Comets at the time of birth. They also use a table of 60 year calender to predict future. Twelve animals are associated with 12 zodiac signs.

The ancient monuments of India take us back to the prehistoric period of the Aryan civilization. Among the Hindu sages who propagated this art include Garga, Gautama, Bharadwaja, Agastya, Bhrigu, Atri and Kashyapa. It is mentioned in the Puranas that the divine sage, Narada, practised this art. Maharshi Valmiki is reported to have written a book entitled " The Teachings of Valmiki Maharshi on Male Palmistry, comprising 567 stanzas, about 4,000 to 5,000 years ago.

Numerology is helpful in predicting future. It also helps to find your lucky numbers, lucky names, lucky gem stones and lucky days. However Indian Numerologists and Western Numerologists differ in certain areas.The main theory of numerology revolves around the fact that the personality of a person can be easily predicted by using the number system. The whole theory goes like this. Firstly, every alphabet in the name is being associated with the respective number in the decimal number system and accordingly the numbers associated with each and every letter in the name is added. The same is done for the title. After that, we have to add both of the totals of the name and the title. By doing this, would get a definite number of at least two, three or four digits. Finally, we have to take the summation of each and every digit of the final number that had been derived from adding the number associated with the name and the number associated with the title.

Finally, the singular number, which is derived by adding any two-digit number from of the grand total, is then judged according to the rules of the numerology and the personality and personal traits are then predicted.

Summary: People use various methods to predict their future. In my opinion Indian Astrology is more accurate than other forms of foretelling. It's  a vast subject and hence it's very difficult to master this subject. It deserves extensive research in future.
