How to Promote Your Business To Other Businesses

Business to Business companies, or B2B, offer services or products used by other businesses or organizations. As such, they need to think like other businesspeople in order to promote their products or services in a way that captures the attention of the right decision-maker and makes them see the value for their organization as a whole.

Instructions

    • 1   Mail a promotional package to a business that could use your products or services. In this age of      electronic communication, sometimes the best way to get someone's attention is with something they can  hold in their hands. Address a hard copy promotional package or portfolio to the person in charge of the     service your company provides and add a note that you will follow up in a week or so by phone.

Attend events held by your local Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber of Commerce can be a great resource for networking with other businesspeople in your area. Attend events personally with your business cards, and be sure to get the business cards of other people there.

Advertise your services in a business magazine. Whether it's a local magazine that profiles companies in your region or an industry magazine that profiles the latest news in your field, invest in a promotional print ad for your company's services or products.

Join a board of directors. A board of directors is often comprised of businesspeople in a certain field or with a certain aptitude for areas that can help grow the organization they oversee, such as marketing or financials. Sitting on a board of directors can help you to network with other businesspeople and gain contacts that could help build strategic alliances for your company.
